Mr. Brian Cameron has stepped down as Scout Master, leaving some big shoes for John O’Rourke to fill. Yesterday was Brian’s last night in that role. He will still be around of course. It is hard to imagine the day when Brian will not be involved in Scouting in some way. We have been very fortunate to have his leadership over these past years. He was the man my son and I spoke to at the Ministry Fair after Richard finished Kindergarten and got us to our first den meeting. He was the Den Leader for the first 2 or 3 meeting, before he got Matt and I to step up. He was the Cub Master for several years after that and only left that to become Scout Master. While he was Scout Master he also has been running one of the largest Dens in the Cub Scouts over 14 boys if I remember right. Richard is now in 7^th Grade and a 1^st Class Scout. Scouting has made a big and positive difference in Richard’s life and Brian has been a big part of that all the way as recruiter, Den Leader, Cub Master and Scout Master. I personally owe him a debt of gratitude, and I am sure most of the 50+ boys in the Troop have a similar tale.
